Discover the Releases Rocking the World With Spotify’s Weekly Music Charts

Streaming your favorite artist’s new album the moment it comes out? Great. Seeing them trend at the top of the charts, knowing they’re being enjoyed by fellow fans around the world? You are not alone. That’s why today we’re excited to announce the launch of Spotify Weekly Music Charts, a new way for artists and their fans to celebrate milestones on Spotify.

 

Listeners have long been able to view the top daily songs on Spotify, but this new weekly offering brings recognition—and celebration—to a whole new level. Expanding our charts allows fans and artists alike to better share and enjoy pivotal music moments, as well as get a  definitive snapshot of what music is having the most global impact—from new album releases to new hit singles. Take a look at what’s new:

  • The Weekly Top 50 will celebrate the biggest albums and tracks in the world each week, Friday through Thursday, consisting of a U.S. Weekly Album Chart, Global Weekly Album Chart, U.S. Weekly Song Chart, and Global Weekly Song Chart published every Monday.  
  • The U.S. Top 10 Debuts and Global Top 10 Debuts lists capture the biggest new releases on Spotify Friday through Sunday. These lists incorporate data from the first 72 hours a song or album is live, giving an exciting early take on new music.

Make sure to follow the @SpotifyCharts Twitter Account, which will publish the new charts every Monday, and look out for market-specific versions of each of these charts coming soon!
