Olivia Rodrigo Takes Over FC Barcelona Jersey for El Clásico Match at Spotify Camp Nou

One of the world’s biggest popstars is headed to El Clásico. Later this month, Grammy Award winner Olivia Rodrigo will take over the front of the FC Barcelona jersey during the big match at Spotify Camp Nou.

Four years into our partnership with FC Barcelona, the jersey takeover has become one of the most highly-anticipated moments for fans. The tradition swaps Spotify’s logo for an artist’s, with Olivia becoming the eighth—and youngest—artist to be featured, following previous takeovers by Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Coldplay, KAROL G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA, and Drake

“Olivia Rodrigo has built one of the most passionate fan communities in the world, and so has FC Barcelona,” said Marc Hazan, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Partnerships, Spotify.Fandom doesn’t have borders, and the most powerful thing Spotify can do is bring those worlds together. Putting her most dedicated fans in the room with her on the eve of El Clásico, that’s what this partnership was built for.”

FC Barcelona Femení will wear the jersey during their Liga F match against Levante on May 6, followed by the men’s El Clásico match against Real Madrid on May 10.

Billions Club Live is coming to Barcelona

Continuing another jersey takeover tradition, Olivia will be performing in the leadup to the match, this time bringing Billions Club Live to Barcelona on May 8. Top fans will be invited to celebrate many of the tracks by the artist that have been inducted into Spotify’s Billions Club and all things Livie culture.

“Seeing OR on a Barcelona jersey for El Clásico, I don’t even know how to process that,” said Olivia. “On top of that, getting to perform for the fans who’ve been listening since day one, in a city like Barcelona, is going to be so special. That’s everything to me. I cannot wait to see them.”

Celebrate fan pride beyond the field

FC Barcelona is turning up the volume with a special edition of the Barça Matchday playlist, packed with tracks to fire up both players and fans in the lead-up to game day and featuring Olivia’s latest single, “drop dead.”

But that’s not all. We’re also teaming up on a capsule collection that blends the club’s iconic look with Olivia’s visual world.

The limited-edition collection includes a t-shirt, fleece crew, hoodie, bucket hat, and scarf, as well as a travel mug, sticker pack, and tote bag. There will also be 1,899 limited-edition jerseys available, inspired by the club’s founding year. Fans can purchase items at Barça Official Stores in Spain or online starting at 10 a.m. CEST today, May 1.

Watch Ed Sheeran’s Dublin Concert in a New Billions Club Live Film on Spotify

Ed Sheeran playing a guitar and performing to a crowd

Last November, Ed Sheeran returned to his musical roots for an intimate, one-night-only performance in Dublin, the third installment of our Billions Club Live series. Now, fans everywhere can experience the magic of that evening with Billions Club Live with Ed Sheeran: A Concert Film, available exclusively on Spotify.

The film captures Ed’s full performance, where top fans gathered for an unforgettable show. In addition to the concert itself, viewers will get a look at behind-the-scenes moments from the night.

For Ed, the show marked a return to the place that shaped him as an artist. “Dublin was the place that I discovered I wanted to be a songwriter,” he says in the film. “I used to come to Ireland four or five times a year with my family. It really feels like coming home. It’s where I sort of learned to write songs—my uncle taught me my first chords on a guitar. I remember being like, ‘That’s what I want to do with the rest of my life.’ I was 11 or 12. Ireland is my sort of spiritual home, musically.”

Ed Sheeran Brings Billions Club Live Home to Dublin

On Monday night, Ed Sheeran and Spotify lit up The Royal Dublin Society in Dublin for a one-night-only performance. The occasion? The third installment of Billions Club Live.

Inside the historic Main Hall, Ed delivered a set packed with his iconic Billions Club hits—including “Shape of You,” “Perfect,” “Shivers,” “Bad Habits,” “A Team,” and “Castle on the Hill”—alongside newer favorites like “Azizam” and “Sapphire.”

He also played “Galway Girl” and “Nancy Mulligan,” Irish-inspired tracks that brought the local crowd to their feet. Over 1,700 of Ed’s top fans on Spotify were in attendance for the unforgettable night.

Dublin holds special meaning for Ed, who spent his teen years busking on Irish streets, and whose father’s roots trace back to Belfast. “This is the best city in the world to play shows in,” Ed told the crowd. “I wanted to connect with Ireland again. It’s been a while. This is such a lovely venue, such a wonderful atmosphere.”

Miley Cyrus Brings the Party to Paris for Spotify’s Billions Club Live—And the Concert Film Is Out Now

The global superstar took the stage for an exclusive performance for her top Spotify Premium listeners in the area, delivering a set packed with some of her most iconic tracks—many of which have surpassed a billion streams on our platform.

Paris was a fitting choice for this one-of-a-kind event: France consistently ranks among Miley’s top 10 countries for streaming—alongside Brazil, the U.K., and Indonesia. The performance marked Miley’s first concert in the French capital in 11 years, following her Bangerz tour in 2014. Just over 100 fans filled the iconic Maxim’s venue in the heart of the city.
