Spotify Pakistan Celebrates Its First Album Launch With Talal Qureshi’s ‘Turbo’

When it comes to amplifying artists, Spotify goes all the way. This commitment was on display last month as Spotify Pakistan supported its first-ever album launch for renowned artist-producer Talal Qureshi’s TURBO

TURBO, also Talal’s debut, masterfully blends Eastern and Western sounds. It transcends musical boundaries and cultural divides, seamlessly melding traditional Pakistani music with the contemporary electronics Talal is known for. Tracks include “Kali Raat,” a collaboration with Zaw Ali; “SOLA” featuring Zahoor; “KUNDI,” with Blal Bloch and Yashraj; “Phooloun Ki Rani,” featuring Natasha Noorani and Maanu; “Aya (Not Honey Version),” with Mitika and Yashraj; and “Jaan Meri,” with Natasha Noorani.

From on-platform support to the billboards at FC Barcelona’s match against Sevilla and in NYC’s Times Square, our global promotion puts Pakistani music on a global stage.

Talal recently became the first Pakistani artist to be featured on the LED screens at Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys during a recent FC Barcelona match.

“I’m blessed to have this support. This platform has been instrumental in helping me share TURBO with the world and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to launch my album,” said Talal. “Thank you Spotify!!! I had tears rolling down my face when I found out that I’m the first Pakistani artist with my name and album being displayed at Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys, Barcelona. I’m grateful.”

We also brought Talal to famed Times Square. “At Spotify, we’re here to uplift artists at every juncture of their artistic path, and our focus is on amplifying Pakistani artists’ stories, voices, and unique cultural contributions with the rest of the world,” said Khan FM, Spotify’s Artists and Label Partnership Manager for Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. “I’m extremely proud we were able to showcase the launch of TURBO for Talal, an artist of musical diversity and creativity. This is the first of many album launches that we’re planning backed with Spotify’s global reach as seen in Barcelona and the USA.”
