Superfans Chose El Bogueto’s Setlist at Bogueto Pa’ los OG, Hosted by Spotify
When you think about seeing your favorite artist live, there are probably a few songs that you hope make the setlist. For El Bogueto’s fans, Spotify made that dream a reality at last week’s Bogueto Pa’ los OG—a one-of-a-kind event shaped by his most dedicated listeners.
Before the performance, top fans of the Reggaetón Mexa artist voted in the Spotify app for the songs they most wanted to hear live. After revealing the tracks with the most votes—which included “Cuando No Era Cantante,” “Dale Bogueto,” and “G Low Kitty”—we invited 600 of those fans to see the show they helped create.
The immersive experience put the audience at the center of the show, with portraits and fan-shot photos taken at the event projected onstage. Guests also had the chance to step deeper into El Bogueto’s world by exploring an installation of photos of his past and present along with imagery inspired by reggaetón culture.
The enthusiasm reflects El Bogueto’s growing stature. Over the last few years, he has had a meteoric rise, becoming the number one Reggaetón Mexa artist in Mexico. And we mean meteoric: His monthly listeners on Spotify have grown from roughly 2,000 in January 2021 to 25.5 million as of September 2026. And while Mexico remains the center of his fanbase, listeners outside of Mexico streamed his music 561 million times in the first eight months of 2026, up from 93 million international streams in all of 2024.
And new fans quickly become diehards: Over 42% of El Bogueto’s listeners fall within the two highest superfandom tiers, and among his most dedicated fans, 80% listen on any given day.
His audience’s connection to his music also shows up in how they make his songs a part of their lives. El Bogueto’s music appears in nearly 20 million user-generated playlists, with “reggaeton,” “gym,” “perreo,” “trap,” and “party” among the most common words used in those playlists’ titles—showing how his work moves with fans from workouts to nights out.
El Bogueto’s growth is part of a bigger story: Mexican urbano artists are reaching audiences around the world. With Pa’ los OG’s, Spotify celebrated both Reggaetón Mexa and the fans helping shape its future.
