THE FANS HAVE SPOKEN

And the Winners of the 2026 Spotify Podcast Awards in Mexico Are. . .

Last night, the Spotify Podcast Awards in Mexico returned to the country’s capital. Now in its second year, the evening honors creators whose voices are helping shape the cultural conversation across Mexico in Latin America. Leading up to the ceremony fans turned out in record numbers to support their favorite shows, with more than 1 million unique voters casting nearly 8 million votes.

“Eight million votes say much more than any metric; it speaks of a community that not only watches and listens, but organizes, supports, and celebrates,” said Thais Tavara, Head of Podcast, Spotify Latin America. “That’s exactly what we want to celebrate.”

Hosted by creators Diana Wong and Dani Valle, the evening brought together over 350 guests from the podcasting world and nearly 600 top fans in Mexico City. Those celebrating the event at home were able to follow every moment live on Spotify México’s TikTok.

Fans cast votes through the Spotify app for 10 of the 11 of the categories, while a jury of marketing experts decided the winner of the newly-added “Favorite Campaign” award, which recognizes the most creative ideas developed by nominees to inspire fans to vote.

While podcasting was at the heart of the ceremony, there were also a few musical acts to soundtrack the night. SANTOS BRAVOS got the party started with hits including KAWASAKI, WOW, MHM, and VELOCIDADE. Later, Cachirula and LOOJAN hit the stage, followed by El Malilla, who closed out the night in full perreo mode, electrifying the crowd with Golosa, B de Bellako, Mami Tú, and Balenciaga.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, and thanks to fans who made it all possible.
