The Spotify Partner Program Expands to More Than 35 New Markets
The Spotify Partner Program is bigger than ever. This fall, we’re bringing the program to more than 35 new markets, opening the door for eligible creators in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and beyond to earn more from their work.
Following the Spotify Partner Program’s success across the U.S., Europe, and Australia, this marks our largest expansion yet, extending new monetization opportunities to more creators around the world and an even better video podcast experience to millions of fans.
More opportunities for creators
The Spotify Partner Program gives eligible creators more opportunities to build successful businesses, with multiple revenue streams: Premium video revenue and the ability to monetize via ads in Spotify’s free tier and on all other podcast listening platforms. Access to the program also unlocks ways to manage and report on embedded sponsorships, with creators keeping 100% of the revenue from those sponsorships.
Earlier this year, we expanded the program’s eligibility criteria to make the Spotify Partner Program accessible to more creators. Since then, total monthly payouts to enrolled shows have increased by more than a third, while video shows participating in the program have experienced more than 45% average growth in consumption hours since its launch.
That momentum is translating into meaningful results for creators, helping them invest in their shows, grow their businesses, and even turn podcasting into their full-time careers. SOLVED host Mark Manson, for example, has seen significant audience and consumption growth since joining the Spotify Partner Program earlier this year, and the show now earns three times more listeners on Spotify than on other platforms. Bella Fiori, host of Mystery Mondays, has used increased revenue from the Spotify Partner Program to support causes related to the cases she covers, including petitions, GoFundMe campaigns, and donations.
A better experience for fans
For Premium subscribers in these markets, the expansion means fewer ads when watching video podcasts. Dynamic ads are removed from participating video podcasts, while creators’ own sponsorships remain part of the show, creating a more seamless and uninterrupted viewing experience.
Whether fans prefer to watch or listen, Spotify gives them the flexibility to move between formats and experience their favorite shows in the way that works for them.
As podcasting continues to evolve, we’re giving creators more choice in how they earn and fans more choice in how they watch and listen.
