David Goyer, Warner Bros, and DC Set to Bring ‘Batman Unburied’ to Spotify
In June, Spotify, Warner Bros, and DC announced a multiyear agreement for a slate of narrative scripted podcasts that dive deep into the characters, stories, and worlds of Gotham City, Metropolis, Themyscira, and beyond. Today, we’re excited to share the first title in the series, Batman Unburied, written and executive produced by none other than David Goyer, the mind behind a number of movies that you might have heard of like Batman Begins.
“I’ve been a fan of narrative podcasts for some time and was looking for the right story—returning to Batman seems like the perfect opportunity,” says Goyer. “We’ll be using the unique advantages of audio to dig into the more nightmarish members of the Dark Knight’s rogues gallery.”
Spotify will serve as the exclusive platform for Batman Unburied, which will explore the darker aspects of Bruce Wayne’s psychology and be developed and produced by Warner Bros.
