The Next Wave of RADAR Spain Artists Arrives for 2026

Since its launch in 2020, RADAR has been our program for spotlighting emerging artists around the world. This year marks the sixth edition of RADAR Spain, our ongoing effort to help raise the profile of the country’s rising talent.

More than 50 artists have taken part in RADAR Spain to date, including breakout names like Quevedo, SAIKO, and LUSILLON. On average, artists see their streams increase by nearly 70% one year after joining the program. Artists from the 2025 edition have seen streams grow by more than 24% so far, with Barry B leading the way at 130% growth.

Now, we’re introducing the 2026 lineup of RADAR Spain artists: Alcalá Norte, El Bobo de las 3000, Gara Durán, Metrika, and Teo Planell. We’re supporting each artist on and off platform with editorial placement, tailored marketing plans, and original content opportunities across our playlists, channels, and social media.

To celebrate the new edition, we invited top fans to an exclusive concert at Sala But in Madrid on April 20, where the full class performed live. The showcase is one of the ways we’re supporting these artists, bringing listeners closer to their stories both on and off the platform.

EQUAL Fest Turns Up the Volume in Madrid

Over two years ago, Spotify created EQUAL, a global initiative that aims to promote gender equity in music and give female artists around the world the prominence they deserve. It’s a program that seeks to eliminate the existing gender gap in the music industry so that women artists, composers and producers have the representation and visibility they deserve in the sector.

Since then, week after week, we’ve been raising the volume on women artists. And this past weekend in Spain, we held the highly anticipated EQUAL Fest, a night of music, visibility, and empowerment. 

Held in Madrid’s WiZink center, EQUAL Fest spotlight Lola Indigo, Nathy Peluso, Ptazeta, Natalia Lacunza, and Judeline onstage in concert. They were joined by Cuban-Spanish DJ Toccororo, as well as “godmothers” of the movement Ana Mena, Ginebras, Paula Cendejas, and Zahara.

Ahora, Spotify suma fuerzas con el torneo de freestyle en español más grande del mundo, Red Bull Batalla, ofreciendo una experiencia auditiva única y dedicada en un espacio con playlists, batallas en formato de audio, podcasts y más.

En la playlist oficial Red Bull Batalla, los fanáticos encontrarán lo mejor de los raperos que han salido victoriosos y las pistas más emocionantes del torneo actual, incluido “Crescendo”, el himno con el talento más querido de la temporada 2021.

Los fans podrán seguir a sus raperos favoritos en cada una de las diez finales: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Perú, España, Uruguay, Centroamérica y Estados Unidos, hasta llegar a la gran final en México este diciembre. Estas batallas serán remasterizadas para un formato de álbum, lanzado por Red Bull Records.
