Creating the perfect vibe is a must while getting ready, and this new experience helps users create a curated, outfit-complimenting playlist to stream before you head out. Who said your songs couldn’t match your style?

So whether you’re taking it easy, prepping for a workout, or heading out for dinner with friends, GetReadyWithMusic has you covered. Simply answer prompts about your look, including the occasion, the colors, and the vibe. Then you’ll be able to upload a picture of your final outfit and receive a playlist tailored to that mood.

Spotify is also partnering with digital creators and stars of The D’Amelio Show, Dixie and Charli D’Amelio, to launch GetReadyWithMusic and inspire fans to celebrate their own getting-ready playlists.

Spotify’s NYC-Focused Content Hub Gives the Concrete Jungle Its Spotlight

New York, New York: The city that never sleeps is a city that listens to Spotify a lot. Now, New Yorkers can access music and podcasts tailored for them 24/7—all in one convenient hub on Spotify. Named Listen Local: New York, this new hub includes music that celebrates New York’s unique culture and podcasts that give residents the information they seek.

From CBGB to Lincoln Center to Broadway, New York City’s long-standing relationship with music is like no other. Curated playlists on the hub will share songs recorded in iconic venues and by iconic New Yorkers. The hub will bring the city’s diverse music history to life, allowing users to explore the sounds of the Metropolitan Opera one minute and recordings from the Apollo Theater the next.

If there’s one thing that’s true of New Yorkers, it’s their city pride and—more specifically—borough love. This hub includes playlists for each of the five boroughs based on the distinct listening habits of the Spotify users living there. But it’s also available globally, so whether you’re based in New Jersey or New Zealand, you can experience the same music that’s trending in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Queens.

Reflections on Angel Olsen and Spotify’s Interactive Audio Tour of ‘All Mirrors’

This past Saturday, indie artist Angel Olsen brought her critically acclaimed single “All Mirrors”  to life inside Villain—a dark warehouse and event space in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Through a collaboration with Spotify, Olsen created an interactive pop-up listening event and invited fans to personally experience the song’s themes of change and transformation via a guided walk through a labyrinth of visual stimuli.

“The team at Spotify has been incredibly supportive of this record and it’s been wild to see how one small song can come together in this interactive installation” said Olsen, who experienced the event for herself ahead of her sold-out show at Brooklyn Steel later that night.

The collaboration was a part of Spotify’s ongoing efforts to lend support to artists at all stages of their career. “With every project that comes our way, we want to do right by the artist,” said the event’s creative director Tim Grover. “Whether they’re indie or major, underground or undiscovered, our goal is to help bring an artist’s creative vision to life and give fans something truly meaningful.”

“Strong partnerships are always rooted in trust,” added David Ecker of Artist Label and Marketing. “It means the world to us that an artist of Angel’s caliber would trust us to expand upon her vision in such an unprecedented way.”

In this case, that meant honoring the transformative experiences that inspired Olsen to write “All Mirrors” by borrowing some of the unique assets featured in the song’s music video.
